Year End Reflection Journal Prompts

Before you eagerly start making new goals, resolutions and wish lists for the new year - I highly encourage you to take the time to reflect on this previous year. Day to day, it’s hard to see how much progress we’ve made or how much things change, but when you zoom out and look at your life through the lens of a full year - a lot can happen.

new relationships. friendship breakups. job changes. mental health fluctuations. moving. sleep habits. pets and children. unexpected financial gains and losses. travel. opportunities.

I find it really encouraging to go back through my year and write about my progress, highs and lows, accomplishments and experiences for each month. As a visual person, it's helpful for me to use my camera roll to remind myself what happened during the year.

If you try this, i think you'll find yourself feeling really proud and grateful for the life you live - and if you, don't that's okay too - use that as fuel to put more intention, organization, discipline and love into your days going forward.

I personally love the quote, "how you live your days is how you live your life." Don't get too worried about all the big picture stuff... just live each day the best you can and in time, it will add up to a lot of wonderful things.

Last year, I developed a process that really helped me reflect on my year in such a beautiful way. We did a podcast episode on already friends that shares all about it including getting into a grateful state of mind, setting the atmosphere, creating a snapshot of your year, analyzing goals, reflecting on the different dimensions of wellness, and noting your biggest accomplishments.
