Where are you currently living?

I am based in Haarlem, Netherlands. I live here with my partner Clay, baby boy Hayes, and our dog Peaches. We relocated from Tulum, Mexico in June 2025.

I am originally from Omaha, Nebraska.

How can I stay up to date with you?

I created a “life updates” section on this website because I really wanted to have a memory book of my big life moments on my own platform. Of course I love sharing with you all, but I also find joy in creating the posts for myself and get nostalgic looking back on these memories. I think of it like my own digital scrapbook.

Instagram has been my most active social media platform over the last decade so there is a ton of content there - @allisonwetig

What do you do for work?

I own 1404 Collective, a secondhand shop, based in Omaha, Nebraska. I took over full ownership, which you can read about here.

From 2018 to 2026, I used to do freelance work ~ in the areas of content creation, social media management, marketing consultations, brand development, photography, business optimization, website design, and airbnb property management. I rarely do freelance work anymore as my focus is on building my own businesses but if it’s the right project and price, I’ll try to help a client out.

When is your birthday?

This is actually not a frequently asked question but I wanted to include it hahaha. I was born October 11th, 1994 at 4:04am so I am a libra sun, capricorn moon and virgo rising!

What are your top favorite travel destinations?

Hard to choose but the first places that come to mind are…

• The Netherlands (which is why I moved here!)

• Medellin, Colombia (artistic, lively, and affordable)

• Nova Scotia, Canada (beautiful and peaceful)

• Marfa, Texas (small but super unique)

• Manzanita, Oregon (so cozy)

• Oceanside, California (living there would be epic)

Are you still hosting Already Friends Podcast?

Not anymore. The show I co-hosted a podcast, called Already Friends, with my friend Ceara Kirkpatrick came to a bittersweet ending in February 2026. We fulfilled our goal of growing a global community, hosting a group trip, meet ups, and connecting with our listeners. We recorded every week for 5 years resulting in 300+ episodes with almost one million downloads. It was a really rewarding journey! You can read the in-depth story here.
