Trauma Is Not Just A Mental Experience

I wish I had learned this in my teens because I was so emotionally unstable and didn’t realize why or how to help it.

A lot of people go through traumatic events in childhood and early teenage years when we haven’t yet developed the awareness and skills to recognize, process and heal from what happens to us. (heck even a lot of adults struggle with it too)

The deep impact of trauma on overall well-being is why I want to help bring awareness to how our body “holds onto” this trauma and why we need to release it.

Some modalities to help release stored trauma are practices such as breath work, yoga, sweat lodges, boxing and dance. By addressing both the mind and body, we can move beyond our past experiences.
