Big News On The Block

Big news on the block! Hayes got his first baby bike seat and he’s obsessed. As a man on the move, I knew he’d love it. I truly didn’t have a doubt in my mind so once I ordered it online, the countdown was on. 

There’s a local bike repair shop right around the corner from our place and the owner is incredible. I bought my bike from him so when I asked if he could attach the baby bike seat, he was eager to help. To my surprise, he wouldn’t even let me pay him

From that day forward, we’ve been cruising all over town. I already loved biking around the Netherlands but now getting to do it with Hayes makes it so much better. 

I put the helmet on him the very first time so he would associate wearing it with getting to go on the bike ride. My little trick worked because now anytime I get the helmet out, he wiggles and smiles in excitement. 

We even had to get him his first pair of shoes because I felt bad for his cold toes as the fall weather can be a bit brisk on the bike. It was also the perfect excuse to buy him some groovy vintage baby jackets and sweatsuits off vinted. Now he’s cruising in style! 

Doing life with this happy, silly, feisty little man is genuinely the best thing that ever happened to me. Feeling so grateful.
