Garden Shed Renovation

We are finally done with our shed conversion project! Here you can see the before.

As a shed, it worked fine for storing garden tools, bikes, suitcases, etc. However, since Clay and I both work from home - the need for more usable space was a higher priority!

Getting it all cleaned out was by far the worst part… SO many spiders! There were multiple points along the way where we questioned if it was worth the effort but the satisfaction of doing things with your own hands is so rewarding.

Since it is a small space, we chose to paint it white to make it feel bigger. For flooring, we chose a cheap laminate and base board. I conquered the majority of painting and Clay conquered the flooring. Great teamwork! We’re super happy with how it turned out.

There’s a lot of career work I need to tackle but this was actually a really important first step because Clay and I both work from home and it’s hard for us to really get into our individual flows when we’re in the same room… so it’s a win win all around!
