6 Delicious Ways To Use Chia Seeds

If you eat vegan, plant based or vegetarian, or just have a hard time meeting your daily protein intake, this post is for you! because I’m right there with you.

Now I’m not saying you should rely on chia seeds for your protein intake but by creatively adding them into your diet, they can help contribute to your overall protein intake.

Here are 6 delicious ways that I love to include chia seeds:

1. Chia Pudding 🥣 some say it’s a dessert, I think it’s a worthy of a breakfast - especially if you add some fresh fruit like a 1/2 banana, berries or peach slices. I make my own chia pudding.

I add a few spoons of chia seeds into a cup, bowl or jar then mix in some plant mylk. Let it soak and the seeds will start to swell and form a more pudding like consistency. Put them in the fridge overnight and enjoy the next day.

2. Smoothies 🧋 Blend chia seeds into your smoothies for added thickness and nutrition. They’ll add a subtle crunch which I enjoy but it isn’t for everyone.

3. Oatmeal 🍎 I think oatmeal is a nice autumn breakfast… warm and hearty. The chia seeds will absorb liquid which will give your oatmeal a more pudding like texture.

4. Protein Pancakes 🥞 you can either make your own batter or we love Kodiak Cake mix in my house (they even have a plant based option if that applies to you).

Mixing in some chia seeds to the batter will elevate your morning stack with an extra boost of fiber, omega-3s and protein.

5. Internal Shower Water 🚿 🍋 have you seen this on tiktok?! It’s definitely where I got the idea. I see why it went viral because it’s so refreshing and helps keep you hydrated.

6. Açaí Bowl 🫐 with the combination of antioxidants from the açaí and chia seeds, you’ll be feeling energized and satisfied with such a nutritious meal.
